Another Update

Everyone,
We are now on the 4th day of our trip. The guys are moving along. They actually finished 3 weeks worth of work already. Today they are going to finish the last part of the wall then will get started with the interior of the house and hopefully by Monday, they will get started with the roof. Lexie is getting excited about all this. Porter said that the guys had to go out in the jungle to get more woods. They played slip and slide along the way coz of the rain but I think they had fun doing that. We are all thrilled on the progression of this task and we all know that the Lord is overseeing this. Continue praying.
We, the ladies has our own project that we are doing. We started the 1st guest house yesterday and got about half way done. We will go back again today and get started with the bathroom and 4 bedrooms. What we are doing is that we do inventory of what they have in the cabinets starting in the kitchen, throw away stuff that’s not needed, save the ones that can be used, make a pile of stuff that is not needed in that house and transfer it to another guest house, etc. It took us at least 21/2 hours to get the kitchen done coz of so much junk they have. It is raining right now so hopefully when it quits we will head back to the guest house and finished up what we started.
Lexie had not really come up yet on what she wants us to do for her other than helping out with the kids specially the little one. We had gotten him spoiled now he does not want to lay down. He just wants to be held all the time. Pray for Lexie’s plan to go up in the tribe next week to see the place. She is getting excited about this. Porter wants her to fly up there Thursday if she can get a ride in one of the planes going up then she will come back with the guys the same day in the afternoon. The only problem is that they are not yet sure if they will have a space for her going up. Please pray for this. If that happens, we will be incharge of the kids (that will be Rita and Gwen’s job) and I will be in charge of the kitchen. I will be feeding vultures when they get down here J. Lexie told me not to make rice that day coz that’s what they are eating up there everyday. So…my Filipino dish will not work and I will have to come up with country cooking I guess. Anyway, this is the news for the day…..until tomorrow.
