Dear everyone,
DAY 2
Porter called last night and the guys finally get to do some work at the house getting more than half of the flooring done and one part of the wall. They did not get to start work early coz the people did not deliver the woods they needed but then they finally did. Everyone of them seems to be doing okay other than still being tired but Porter said they stuck with him all day. We, the ladies just hang out with Lexie for another day and just help with the kids and visit some more. She just want to hear more news from TN. We get to walk down the road by ourselves to pick up Ember playing with another missionary’s daughter. We get to see more of the native people around here and get to watch a soccer match. They were playing in a sandy and dusty field but they were really good soccer players too. There are tons of kids running around everywhere. We get to meet more missionaries around here and they are all very young couples like Port and Lex with very young kids. I get to meet Shelley. They just got here about 6 weeks ago; she grew up in the Philippines and her parents are still missionaries there. Hopefully I can get to talk to her some more later this week.
DAY 3
Today, we are planning on doing some work at the Guest House. We will clean the place and do some inventory of stuff that needs to get rid off and stuff we can save for use later. Then this afternoon around 4pm, we are going to the International School to watch basketball and meet more missionaries. We are excited about that. Melissa (Hampton’s friend) will pick us all up to take us there. So far everybody is well and is enjoying the time here. It’s rainy season now but it’s really not that wet yet. It only rained once for just a little bit . We will let you know more when we here from Porter tonight from the tribe.
Love & prayers,
Marie (from the Team)
