Indo Update

Here’s the update on the 5th day of our journey. The guys had accomplished quite a bit more yesterday. They are very tired but are still functioning well to be able to get more done. They finished the flooring part, all the interior walls and 1 exterior wall. The only thing that slows them down is when they ran out of woods and has to wait for the tribe people to help them bring the woods over to them. They even had to bribe the 2 tribal men that if they will they will bring them the woods then they will feed them. So the tribal men even asked their wives to help them out to carry woods so they can also eat. As far as health is concerned, the Lord is keeping them healthy…that’s a big praise. They are now realizing how they misses their wives and children. So, for Emily, Mary and MaryBeth, your husbands wanted you to know that they missed you guys and the children.
The ladies took a day off yesterday from cleaning the Guest House coz it rained all day. It was a gloomy day yesterday and for me to be stuck in the house is a little torture. We did accomplish something though. We helped Lexie cut the curtains that she is getting ready to sew when she gets the chance. We cut about 13 curtains. We had a little scare there when Rita’s foot stepped on the silky curtain and slipped and fell on the hardwood floor. I just happened to be right there holding the scissors coz I was cutting the material and I was able to catch her quickly so she did not hurt herself. Don’t worry Bill, she is alright. Melissa was up here last night visiting with us until 10:00. She and her husband David are the Hampton’s close friend here and they will be neighbors in the tribe. They have 3 boys. Her husband David is also up in the tribe with his brother-in-law building their house as well. They will be coming down with our guys on the same plane on Thursday.
Today we will not go to church but we will attend the fellowship this afternoon at the Schaffer’s house (They live nearby). This is a missionary get together once a month I guess. This is all for now folks. Until tomorrow. Continue to pray for us here and the guys up in the tribe.
