Our first update from Indonesia

Dear loved ones,

WE HAVE ARRIVED!!! The Lord graciously sustained us during our looooong trip. Thank you for all those who have been praying for us. We literally traveled across the world.

We left Jakarta last night around 10:21 p.m. We traveled all night stopping at 2 small island before getting to Jayapura. We arrived here this morning at around 6:00AM Feb. 20th (you are 14 hours behind us). We had pretty bumpy rides the minute we took off Knoxville until we got here but the Lord was with us the whole time. We are like zombies right now but we cannot rest yet. We have to visit for a little bit and hold the babies and send the guys off to the tribe. They are getting ready to leave right now. Pray that they can have some much needed rest as they are very very tired just like us. They will fly again on a small plane for 1 hour and 15 minutes then will have a 6 minute helicopter ride. Hopefully they will get to rest once they get there then start the work first thing the next morning. We will get some rest as well then start tomorrow. Lexie made a big breakfast for us and it did not last very long. We had to eat a much needed homemade meal to keep going. We will have more news coming for everyone. We just want you guys to know we made it here safe and sound after close to 35 hours flying and 18 hours of layover. We traveled for 3 days. We finally lost track of time when we get to Jakarta coz we were so tired we can’t see straight. But…we were still able to kid around and have fun. I will update everyone again as soon as we all get some needed rest. I feel like I’m floating in the ocean right now. We love you and missing you all! Continue to be praying for the time we are going to spend here with the Hamptons. Pray that the Lord will strengthen the guys physically and mentally as they start to work up there.

Mary, Jason was trying to call you but you were not home. He wants to know how Jase’s doc’s appointment went. Let him know via e-mail (Hampton mail). They just left as I am finishing up this e-mail.

To my hobby luvvy and my kidlets, I miss you guys! Bailey Ember loves the bracelets you sent her. Aly and Zeke I will talk to you later via e-mail and facebook ok.

MaryBeth your hub is missing you and the kids already.

Em and Ellie, your husband and Daddy has to make sure I got this message for you guys too.

Bill and Richard don’t worry about your wives. They are both doing really great. They are not causing trouble just yet. Maybe after they get rested.
