well the little man gave us quite a scare last night. He went to bed at 9:15pm, just fine, then woke up at 10:15pm having trouble breathing. I tried an at home breathing treatment without success. We decided to take him to the ER b/c he was working so hard to breathe. They gave him an Epinephrine breathing treatment, 2 steroid shots, and he had to have x-rays.Diagnosis-croup. Now, he has had that before but never this bad and it has never come on that fast. We ended up staying until 3am b/c they thought he might have to have a 2nd breathing treatment. He didn't and we finally got home. He is doing ok this morning. He still kinda sounds like a barking seal. The ER staff at BMH did a great job. I know they sometimes get a bad wrap, but they took him straight back and started working on him. The doctor was awesome. We are feeling truly blessed that him and dad are both ok.
