My dad had pretty major surgery on Monday. They went in hoping to do a simple procedure and ended up doing a pretty major surgery. He was extubated after surgery in the Recovery Room and did not do well so they had to intubate him again. He then went to ICU. On Tues. they extubated him again at 2pm and he has done really well. His pain is much better now. This morning he was able to sit on the edge of the bed for a minute so hopefully later tonight or tomorrow he will be moved to a regular room. The kids really want to see him. He was hurting really bad yesterday morning, it was very difficult to see. So anyway he is on the road to recovery-it will just take 4-6 weeks for him to be back to normal. My wish is that he won't have to go through anything like this again and that his pain will be controlled as much as possible.Love you Dad!
