Horse Show

Tyra was in her first horse show on Saturday at McCord Farms. She did really well she received three 2nd place ribbons,1 third, and she received a ribbon and trophy for the reserve Grand Champion. We are so proud of her because she fell off once before the show began (her pony was acting up) and she changed ponies and rode anyway. She rode the trot class without incident. In the walk/trot class her pony got spooked by the speakers and it threw her pretty hard to the ground. We thought she was really hurt at first. It stoved her back a little and knocked the wind out of her but she got up and got back on and finished the show. She really loves this despite all the times she has fallen off. I think winning the ribbons really solidifed that this is something she wants to continue doing. She has started jumping in her class each week and really likes it. It was really cold(29 degrees)at the show but we had a great time. The hardest part was keeping Jase from playing with the horse poop.
